Taking Requests

So I'm putting together an online portfolio for my new website and I discovered that the current century is woefully under represented. In other words, I need some new stuff to showcase. So I'm turning to you to give me suggestions on new pieces that would make some good additions to my portfolio. It could be a greeting card, a puzzle (see the swim puzzle in the galley [link]) or something else. Thanks!

Maybe a picture of some people fighting in a huge battle? IT would help showcase your ability to draw large, chaotic scenes.

But if you wanted, you could charge a price for it...

Or just set a limit on wh could ask!

But then again, isn't the point of requests about advertising your own work so people do appreciate the work to come? And thusly, they expect you to draw more anyway?

Exactly. However, I should concentrate on stuff that I'm good at. I'd rather be known for being a good cartoonist than a mediocre fantasy artist.

I guess that makes sense, but a person should have a wide variety of skills.

Maybe some standard cartoon fare, then? Dynamite, anvils, and falling off of cliffs?

Cliffs? Clifi? Clives? What's the plural of cliff?

Ooh, complex scenes are a pain in the neck to draw! I dunno what you 'should' draw... I like to draw monsters and aliens and stuff, Fission Chicken comics, and so on. That's what so many artists on DA do -- draw what really grabs them. You have a knack for sexy girls and monsters, try some more of those.
